The Bike Zoo is a living, breathing marvel of kinetic art, transforming public spaces into interactive wonderlands. Co-founded by Jeremy Rosen, a University of Texas at Austin mechanical engineering graduate, this imaginative project debuted at Austin’s First Night Parade in 2005 and has since become a beloved attraction at festivals, parades, schools, and events across the U.S. and Mexico.
At the heart of the Bike Zoo is its enchanting menagerie of larger-than-life, hand-built creatures. From the slithering Rattlesnake and fluttering Butterflies to the majestic Bald Eagle and whimsical Armadillo, these creations captivate audiences with their playful yet meticulous design. Part sculpture, part performance, these creatures engage audiences of all ages, inviting interaction as roaming displays or even rideable attractions.
The Bike Zoo’s work transcends art and entertainment, embodying creativity, community, and engineering ingenuity. Whether as a photo backdrop or a dynamic feature at an event, the Bike Zoo brings joy, wonder, and unforgettable memories to every audience it encounters.
