12 x 12 x 18 feet
"Star Flu" is an enchanting installation featuring a blend of nine aluminum stars and nine mirror mosaic stars, each six feet tall and rotating at two rpm to create a captivating visual display. The installation’s versatility allows it to enhance any setting, whether subtly with a few stars or dramatically with all eighteen. Its innovative mounting system enables the stars to be suspended from a self-supported structure, providing endless possibilities for spatial transformation. The base, resembling an elevated Christmas tree stand made from steel beams and plates, is cleverly concealed by a reclaimed wooden structure shaped like a five-point star. This blend of robust engineering and artistic design makes "Star Flu" a versatile and striking installation, perfect for a wide range of environments and experiences. With its unique combination of movement and reflective surfaces, "Star Flu" captivates viewers, inviting them to explore light, space, and form in a fresh and dynamic way.
